Bob’s remarkable journey began long before its official launch on 8 August 2017. Countless trips, meetings, and thorough studies paved the way for this groundbreaking project.

However, on that momentous day, Bob truly took flight as visionary investors approved the first funding. This marked the birth of Bob—a testament to the unwavering commitment to hard work, perseverance, and continuous improvement.

Bob emerged on the scene following its presentation and successful approval by investors, who provided the essential initial funding. This marked the dawn of a new era for Bob.


Bob’s reputation began to soar when Iberia, a prominent airline, became the first to trust our services. Together, we embarked on a journey that revolutionised the passenger experience.

On July 4, 2018, Bob made history by launching Bob First-Mile, its groundbreaking off-airport baggage check-in platform. We are proud to be the only company worldwide that has developed a software-only platform for off-airport bag check-in. This innovative approach sets us apart and makes our platform truly scalable, as we do not rely on scaling hardware components. This achievement eliminated the need for passengers to queue for check-in, forever changing the way people travel. The inaugural customer, bound for Argentina, became the first-ever passenger to bypass the check-in line, symbolising a new era of convenience and efficiency.


Bob’s growth trajectory accelerated as it forged partnerships with major airlines, including Vueling, Iberia Express, Air Europa, Lufthansa, Air France KLM, LATAM, and Air Nostrum. These collaborations solidified Bob’s position as a trusted industry leader.


Amidst the challenges posed by the global pandemic, Bob played a crucial role in supporting passengers. Our dedicated agents worked tirelessly to verify COVID documentation, ensuring a seamless and safe travel experience.


Bob expanded its range of services with the launch of Bob Last-Mile, specifically designed to manage delayed bags, which became an indispensable tool in the industry.


During this year, Bob successfully signed new contracts and made significant progress in expanding our international presence. Meanwhile, the baggage discovery innovation product team was deeply convinced that the future of our industry lay in the ability to track baggage in-flight. With this conviction, we embarked on an extensive analysis of the possibilities, collaborating closely with industry providers to explore potential solutions.


We have come to realize that developing a baggage tracking system solely reliant on existing industry providers proved to be problematic due to technological limitations. In light of this, we made a significant leap forward by embracing a different technology, taking inspiration from the widespread adoption of Apple’s Airtag within our industry. By utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy, which was validated by Airtag, we pioneered the creation of the first airline-integrated tag for passengers. This breakthrough allows us to seamlessly connect baggage to the internet and track it effectively, even outside the airport premises.

As Bob continues to evolve and redefine the travel experience, we remain committed to our core values of excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
